Especially in the Borshchiv region – a region that has become famous all over the world precisely for its unique vyshyvankas. These are fully sewn sleeves with a strong predominance of black color (symbolizing the tragic pages of the region’s history), as well as longitudinal diagonal stripes with repeated elements.

Also, the viburnum motif is one of the favorites in Ternopil Oblast. Berry branches were often depicted between two birds. Embroidery with woolen threads was typical here. Ternopil patterns are clear, contrasting, with three-dimensional elements.
