Men’s so-called Chumat shirt – with wide sleeves, where only the collar was decorated with embroidery – was known throughout Ukraine. (It is interesting that such a sleeve served as a kind of flag for signaling when crossing the Dnieper rapids). Chumac shirts were always carefully embroidered. The collar is mostly ribbed, the bosom is cut, and the sleeves are ribbed.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, all basic geometric figures and their combinations were used: circles (symbols of the sun), in the middle of which rosettes made of rhombuses are placed; diamonds can be one shape and divided into parts, also with dots in the middle.
